Receptionist
Location: Durham-Chapel Hill Office
Salary: $18 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Are you looking for a great opportunity in customer service?

We’re looking for a receptionist who can give callers and visitors an outstanding customer service experience. Our Receptionist will build relationships with people who contact our firm looking for help with a legal or personal crisis. Success in this position requires that you display a combination of empathy, experience, and skill. You will play an integral role in creating memorable experiences for clients and everyone else who contacts our firm.

Experience and Skills Required:

  • Customer service experience is required. Legal experience is a plus.
  • You must be comfortable with a computer and demonstrate proficiency with common office applications (Word, Google, Adobe, etc).
  • You must have excellent spelling and grammar.
  • We will ask you to demonstrate a penchant for accuracy and attention to detail, which are required to avoid mistakes that can cost our clients (and us) dearly.
  • You MUST be a positive person.
  • If you walk through life seeing opportunities where other people see problems, you will probably do well here.
  • If you find yourself thinking of why things can’t work instead of how they can, you will not be happy here.

We are growing fast, and we are investing time and energy in building our team. There will be training on the types of legal matters we handle, how we track our leads, and how to use our calendaring system. However, we need someone that is already competent in answering phones, routing calls, managing the firm calendar, and meeting deadlines.

Intake Specialist
Location: Winston-Salem or Durham with opportunities to work from home
Salary: $20 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

We are looking for an individual with talent in sales and customer service. The person we hire must bring energy, positivity, and a “can-do” attitude to work every day.

This position will be responsible for conducting initial consultations with potential new clients, maintaining our Customer Relationship Management database, and reporting key sales and marketing metrics to the owners.

We need a competent and professional Intake Specialist who:

  • Has experience selling professional services or high-end retail products.
  • Fluent in Spanish.
  • Active-listener: you are able to take notes during a consultation and repeat back the things that are most important to a potential new client in terms of their time, their money or their reputation.
  • Proactive: if you anticipate a problem, you take the time to think through a solution before coming to the supervisor for assistance.
  • Task-oriented: you can efficiently complete a task with 100% accuracy and move on to the next task.
  • Smiles when you answer the phone.
  • Is positive and optimistic.
  • Can change gears quickly.
  • Understands the importance doing good work, and doing it on time.
  • Treats a call at 4:30 on Friday with the same care and compassion as one on Monday morning.
  • Is knowledgeable and proficient with Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Familiar with Lawmatics or similar client relations management system is a plus.

This is a full-time job and absolutely must be able to work for 40 hours per week. There is opportunity to work remotely. The pay will be $20.00/hour plus bonus compensation for those who can demonstrate their profitability. Estate Planning Paralegal
Location: Winston-Salem or Durham with opportunities to work from home
Salary: $25-28 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week

Job duties:

  • Assist attorneys in drafting estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and healthcare directives.
  • Facilitate trust funding by assisting with the transfer of assets into trusts, updating beneficiary designations, and coordinating with financial institutions.
  • Conduct legal research on estate planning laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and databases.
  • Communicate with clients and schedule estate planning meetings.
  • Prepare and organize client documents in preparation for meetings.
  • Monitor case progress, deadlines, and important time frames.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and other paralegals to ensure efficient workflow and client satisfaction.
